I recently had to disassemble my extruder in order to fix a major clog that had happened. All the parts are clean now, it’s reassembled, but the extruder just…drops feeding filament after putting down the raft and base layers of a print.
I’ve swapped out extruder parts, ensured everything is free and clear, tightened the tension spring, and still it just stops feeding at the about same spot, even with different slices loaded.
The one clue I have is that if I pull out the filament, snip the end, and push it back into the extruder while it’s still printing, it’ll work again for a few minutes, and then stop. I can’t do that for actual prints, so what could the issue be here?
