MakeMKV Mac not reading my titles

First, I want to make sure I'm doing things right. I installed MakeMKV Beta.

I'm using a Optiarc BD ROM BC-5500S rev 1.83 drive

I'm on a Mac. I put in a BluRay and MKV spins up saying it's reading the title and then just stops saying "no disc inserted."

Is there a step I'm missing?
