So I've beaten this game like 2 times ever, even though I consider it my favorite Zelda title. I'm attempting a 100% playthrough right now, and had just beaten the great bay temple. The whole time I'm playing there's this overlooming sadness, ig is the best way to put it. Realizing that the transformation masks are the souls of those who passed, the dialogue from NPCs as the moon draws closer, the anju kafei side quest. Like dude, thought this was supposed to be a kids game lol. And add in the theory that link is dead and going through the stages of grief. Or the feeling of nihilism that no matter what you do the world is going to end. I love it. Masterful game. 7/5
