Every now and then I see posts or comments with people bashing the 3ds version because it’s different. I never really played the n64 version but I remember going out of my way to complete the 3ds version on every file.
I may play the n64 version on the Nintendo switch online but from what I can tell the only negative change is how the Zora swims since the 3ds version kinda makes some things more obvious like sparkling water for ice arrows so you don’t waste them, being able to choose how far into a day you want to go rather than just going half a day, or even getting a bit creative on some fairy locations, one I saw was about a fairy in a bubble that wouldn’t pop with an arrow unlike the 3ds version.
Plus the n64 version always hurt my eyes to look at sometimes, especially in a place as crowded as clocktown.
I like some of the minor changes too for details, where the injured guard with the stone mask isn’t in ikana valley, but instead in the Gerudo pirate fortress where it would make sense for him to use the mask to hide, as he waits for help, then leaves without the mask as he’s at full health.
Idk, I know there’s differences and there’s gonna be some bias due to nostalgia, from both sides sometimes, but honestly I don’t think it’s a big deal. They’re both good, and different, but not in a bad way.
