Wondering if anyone else is working maintenance in the Bay Area/west coast region? Iβm the one man band at a food processing facility, Iβm EPA certified, competent at HVAC/R, can read schematics, diagnose/fix most electrical problems, TIG weld, and all that other less interesting shit too! π
I keep hearing radio ads for the Local 38 (union refrigeration) paying $80/hr for journeyman, and have had contractors come through trying to steal me. I want to stay loyal, and do enjoy my job. But at a certain point I start to get a little salty as I am only making $38/hr.
I know to some of you this is wild money (Iβm from Nebraska, I get it) but letβs also keep in mind I pay $2k/month for a 1 bedroom apartment, before you roast me. π
Thoughts Thots?
