So I live in an apartment building and over the weekend the water gradually went from Luke warm to freezing cold. Yesterday the complex sent a tech up and she informed me there was a burned out wire in the water heater and that she would go get a replacement part and return. I informed her Iād probably be sleep upon her return which was midday but I had worked the night before. I woke up yesterday evening to NO water in my apartment only to be told by my girlfriend that the maintenance lady had repaired the hot water issue and over tightened the gauge on the heater causing it to break off and leak all over my floor. So now we are expected to go to another unit in the building anytime we need water.
Do in short: a burned wire in hot water heater caused cold water then maintenance error caused a leak & no water in my apartment.
My question to you all is as professionals in your own right how would you have addressed such?
