Hello everyone!
I really want to try making some chainmail(to start with wristguards and maybe shift to a vest if things work out) , and decided to stick with split rings(really don't want to make butted/can't make rivets)
So does anyone here have some experience with split rings?
I'm a bit confused which thickness/width I should go for, because split rings rare have gauges :c
Should I just take the gauge of a non-split ring, and find a split right that has 2x of it's thickness?
Any information including aformentioned questions and where to get those rings(EU pref) will be very appreciated :3
Edit: I also considered encorporating welded ring which will be connected to the split ones, but not sure if it makes sense with european 4 in 1 design, although I got that idea while looking at the oriental/japanese designes, but not sure how well they are going to work for a chainmail due to small ring placements
