I can't even play this game. I really want to, but I can't.

Because every time I try to, the screen flashes purple, and if I see anything the detail is totally obscured by massive rendering artifacts. I really want to play this game, but it's literally impossible. Does anyone know a fix?
On a side note, my saves don't save.
