I've had an idea for a magic system and I would like peoples opinions on it...it is still very much a work in progress.

Essentially, in the world I am building some people are born with the capability to tap into magic when they come of age(usually 13/puberty) How it manifests is very different from person to person. For example a bookish child could have it manifest as a book of spells that as they get stronger and more creative, more spells become available throughout this book, another could have it manifest as a coat with many internal pockets all with components they would need to cast the spell they intended. So the overall power of magic itself is very much soft magic, it is like an infinite reservoir of pure potential and how it manifests could be harder magic, like spell books, sigils, components, etc. It is inspired a little by the X-Men in a way as well as a combination of other things.
