Hot (?) Take: Borderless cards should keep their flavor text.
Post Body

I've been in the process of blinging out my EDH decks by replacing instants and sorceries with full art/borderless versions wherever possible. I guess I hadn't noticed at first because not every card has flavor text to start with and a lot of the cards I was picking up were special printings, but I was really irked to discover that borderless cards seem to all have their flavor text removed.
Why???
I can understand the satisfaction of a Counterspell that just says "Counter target spell" centered in the text box, but nothing is gained by removing references to Strixhaven from [[Stinging Study]]. Flavor text is an important part of the culture of Magic; it's one of the things someone might like about a card. I collect cards because I enjoy the flavor of Magic's settings and it feels so obviously at cross-purposes to erase the narrative embellishment from cards with more visual embellishment, not least of all because it isn't even consistent with what we see on Secret Lairs and even Masterpieces.
Am I way off on this?
