Yet another plan to get Modern on Arena

Wizards has given this amazing format called Explorer. I’ve fought against Angel Tribal, Reanimator, Boggles, Planeswalker Control, and Oven Cat so far. Its gross. Its obscene. Its so much fun.

Here’s my high level outline to go from Explorer to Modern in Arena.

Compare cards in explorer / modern. That is our current percent of this project being complete.

Easy way: We are working backward in time so each completed set backward could be an easy milestone.

Quicker way:

Compile a list of all cards in TOP 8 modern decks from X number of years back then remove all cards already in Arena.

Reference cards for amount of times appeared. Count # of cards and if it appeared. Two different types of data. The amount of the cards appearing would allow us to tell multiples are being used which would increase its priority in ‘printing’ the card to Arena.

This now gives us a priority list. Sort them by highest number first. Also make a set breakdown.

Depending on the amount of cards, we could consider: Printing sets if there was a critical # of cards. This would allow draft and sealed microtransactions to happen.

Special sets or printings in upcoming products. I believe you are already doing this project booster fun. Its been amazing.

Id love to map the entire thing out. If this was successful, I could easily make a case on how to bring in other formats.
