It might shine in BW for limited when you're making a bunch of 1/1s. Crew your vehicle, combat, move this to a tapped soldier, next turn you can start effectively making 5/1s. I see this as a turn 5 play since you might want to play and equip on the same turn, otherwise you only benefit from it 2 turns later. It's slow, but a good attrition piece.
