Worth it??

My fiancée and I have been debating getting into magic for a while now, we ply Yu-Gi-Oh! Tcg and dabbled in pokemon for a while. I tried to learn as a child but apparently bought the wrong set as it did not come with rules. So basically I’m asking if it’s too late to try and get into it since it’s been around for so long or should we go for it and expand our tcg collections ??
