I’m thinking of buying singles for some friends who want to get into modern. What are some singles that would garner some interest in the format for under 20$ each?

Title explains most of it. I got my bonus at work and I want to buy some singles after not buying cards for a long time. My group of six wants to play modern and I want to get a small binder of cards to loan out to get some deck ideas flowing and show people what’s regularly played in the format. I’m already thinking cards like [[fatal push]] [[serum visions]] [[lightning bolt]] [[path to exile]] [[thought seize]] [[birds of paradise]]. What are some more ideas to fill up the binger with a couple play sets of?

TL;dr what are some fun cheap staples to pass around to friends to help them build modern decks?
