Starting a Magic club in the local library: need advice
Post Body

Hi people! As we don't have gaming stores in our neck of the woods, I'm now trying to start a club in the local library. It's rather unlikely that we would have many experienced players come to the meetings, at least not at the beginning, but there are lots of random teenagers idly running around, so I hope to gadually ensnare at least some of them.

I've assembled a bunch of extremely cheap decks, so now we'll have something to play with. I also have a cube. I also have some bulk misprint dice for counters, and the last time I visited a gaming store, they gave me several starter packs to give around. So these things are covered.

I'm still missing two things though, and maybe you could help me with them:

1) I need some super-cheap plain deck boxes to keep all these cheap battle decks in. As I'm buying everything on my own, I am a bit hesitant to pay for plastic ultra-pro boxes, as it's about 50 extra bucks from my pocket (I have about 25 different battle decks by now, and plans for about 5 more), and I think plastic boxes could be more likely to get "accidentally" stolen. Do you know if it is possible to get some plain cardboard boxes somewhere? Short of making them myself?

2) Can you recommend a good one-pager to give out to new players, to help them keep track of the game early on? Do they exist? WoC have a free pdf for new players, but it's long, and way too pretty to be printed. CardKingdom have those awesome card-size reminders of evergreen keywords, but they are card-sized, and I don't have them anyway. I was thinking of turn structure and keyword glossary; something to put on the table during first few games. Do you know a good ready-to-print one-pager like that?

And if not, and I need to create it myself, any other suggestions for what to include there?

Thanks!
