Best way of helping a new player at FNM that I felt bad for.
Post Body

So on Friday at FNM we had a great turnout with some new faces, one of which I faced in round 2 (round 1 against my wife ended with a victory for me. I'll probably pay for that later). Everything was going well, she was playing the Bolas Planeswalker deck with a couple of changes and minimal sideboard. I was playing a U/G ramp deck I'd thrown together for the Friday. Anyway I managed to [[Champion of Rhonas]] out an [[Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger]] and proceeded to exile her deck.

In her defence, after she read Ulamog and swore a little to herself, she took it very well and more than once I apologised that this is how I was going to win the game. I gave her tips for the future on how to deal with indestructible creatures (as I was also running [[Rhonas the Indomitable]]) and she had no way of sideboarding against them or dealing with then in her main deck once they were on the field.

My question is, what else could I have done, and what do you do, when you come across that scenario where you have an unbeatable board against an inexperienced opponent? Is there any more advice I could have given her that I may have missed?
