So there are quite a few people out there who have put in the time and effort to make complete, custom Magic sets, and many of these sets have really interesting cards and mechanics. Sadly, there doesn't seem to be much of any activity out there related to actually playing them. But what if there was? What if some people here, or somewhere else, got together to draft and play some of these sets?
Here's how I imagine it working:
- Decide on a set to play, set aside a day or two to look at the cards
- Use random.org to generate packs
- Use some kind of chat application to draft the packs (or are there any draft simulators that support custom cards?)
- Build decks and play them using Apprentice or some other simulator without rules enforcement
We can pull sets from http://www.mtgsalvation.com/forums/creativity/custom-card-creation/custom-set-creation-and, http://www.magicmultiverse.net/, here, /r/custommagic, and anywhere else people are posting these things.
Anyone interested? If so we can start putting together group(s) of 8, deciding on a set, and figuring out how this will work...
