Post Body

I was wondering how [[Virtue of Strength]] worked with cards like [[Dryad of the Ilysian Grove]] and lands like [[Castle Garenbrig]] and how much mana the second ability of Castle Gare brig would give.

I don't understand if Virtue of Strength multiplies by 3 the specific Basic Land ability "Tap: add [1]" or if any Mana produced by a Basic Land through a non-specific mana ability is multiplied by 3, such as Castle Garenbrigs second ability.

Based on my own understanding:

  • Dryad makes Castle Garenbrig Basic (every basic land type its nonbasic land type)

  • Virtue of strength multiplies by 3 mana abilities of Basic Lands.

  • I pay Castle Garenbrigs' cost for the second ability and Tap [2GG]: add six [G], which instead gives 3 times that amount, so it gives 18 [G]?

so 18 mana in total for the second ability?
