Here, we'll take a look at all of the 4* Unlimited Aqua girls that have access to SE and take note of noticeable effects/skills that they get out of it. This isn't a Tier List in any way, shape or form. I've looked at every girl as objectively as possible.

A few notes beforehand:

  • Most, if not all, girls get varying amounts of MP Boost and Doppel Adept, so I'll be ignoring them unless noted otherwise.
  • All data was taken from the Magia Record Wiki.

Rena

  • Skill - Accele MP Gain Up (17.5% to Self, 3 Turns, 7 Turn Cooldown)
  • Fill 15% of MP Gauge at the start of battle (15%)
  • Chance to Critically Hit (15%)
  • Chance to Evade (Parry, 15%)
  • Chance to Anti-Evade (35%)
  • Chance to Anti-Magia Seal (55%)
  • Lots of Magia/Doppel Adepts and MP Boosts

Rena's SE is pretty standard for an Accele Gorilla, with all of the buffs being typical for dueling. Then you look at her Skill. Out of all of the Accele Gorillas that currently have SE, only a few have some form of MP charging, aside from the typical >100 MP. While Rena's is only a 3 Turn buff, it has a shorter than usual cooldown of 6 Turns. When you combine it with her Magia, which also provides an Accele MP Gain Up buff, and her monstrous Attack, she can consistently deal A LOT of Single Target damage.

As a whole, her SE is great in Mirrors, where she can utilize all of her passives and her Skill to more effectively Turn 2 Magia, when compared to most girls.

To balance this, her Magia/Doppel are only Single Target, and she doesn't have a 100% chance to prevent Magia Sealing.

Sayaka

  • Skill - Survive a fatal attack (Recover 10% HP to Self, 1 Turn, 10 Turn Cooldown)
  • Survive a fatal attack during Quests only (Recover 20% HP to Self)
  • Chance to Aggro (Provoke, 15%)
  • Damage Cut (10%)
  • Accele and Magia Damage Cut (10%, 20%)
  • Regenerate HP (5%)

Sayaka is all about tanking. SE not only grants her a ridiculous amount of HP and Defense, but it also grants her many passives that make her EXTREMELY TANKY and redirect damage towards her. On top of generally reducing damage, particularly from Accele Discs and Magia, and having a nice amount of passive HP Renegeration, she has 3/4 sources of Survive: SE Skill, SE passive (Quests only), and her Magia/Doppel.

Since she does gain a passive Crit chance, she can get use Memoria that give her nice boosts to her Attack or continue to boost her ridiculous bulk.

Sayaka's SE makes her one of the best Tanks in the game. Period.

Mayu

  • Skill - MP Gain Down and Chance to Skill Seal (80%, 65% to Target, 1 Turn, 8 Turn Cooldown)
  • Chance to Charm on Attack (15%, 1 Turn)
  • Chance to Evade (Parry, 15%)
  • Damage Up (10%)
  • Blast Damage Up (16.5%)
  • Lots of Magia/Doppel Adepts and MP Boosts

Sayu's SE, like her discs, makes her a better generalist. In this case, she favors a bit more of the Magia team side with all of the Magia/Doppel Adepts and MP Boosts she has, and the fact that her Connect also has Accele MP Gain Up.

Sunao

  • Skill - Remove Buffs (on Target, 13 Turn Cooldown)
  • Chance to Evade (Parry, 15%)
  • Regenerate HP (4%)
  • Chance to Defense Pierce (15%)
  • Anti-Magia Seal (100%)
  • Chance to Resist Status Ailments (20%)

Sunao's SE is kind of weird. It's a bit all over the place and doesn't focus on one particular type of healing. She should probably be classified as a Supporter rather than a Healer, seeing as her only source of healing others is on her Connect.

Ao

  • Skill - Aqua Defense and General Defense Down (18%, 15% to Target, 3 Turns, 10 Turn Cooldown)
  • Fill 15% of MP Gauge at the start of battle (15%)
  • Chance to Critically Hit (15%)
  • Chance to Skill Quicken (15%)
  • Damage Cut (10%)
  • Anti-Magia Seal (100%)
  • Lots of Magia/Doppel Adepts and MP Boosts

Opposite of Rena, Ao is a Supporting Accele Gorilla. Her entire kit, SE, Connect and Magia/Doppel, are all about supporting the team via debuffing the enemy, removing their buffs, and increasing her team's Damage. An Accele Gorilla having 100% Anti-Magia Seal is also really nice, so it's nothing she needs to worry about.

That being said, something that she also gets like Rena is 15% of her MP gauge at the start of battles. This means she can also fire off Magia in Mirrors on Turn 2 much more easily! The downside to this is that she doesn't have an inherent way to buff her MP generation, so she'll have to look towards Memoria for help.
