What does everyone think of Leanard from the group meeting that has his testimony that causes Don to get up and give him a long hug. Even though he is only in one scene, some see him as having the most important role in the show. Something about his testimony struck a cord with Don and allowed him to make that deep connection he'd always longed for, though he usually looked for it in women. That connection could also be the inspiration for the Hilltop ad. Don had spoken earlier about the power of advertising when it could make an emotional connection with the public. He spoke about it in The Carousel and he was truly able to achieve it on a high level after hugging it out with Leanard and connecting with him.
