Season 4 ; Ep 2
I didn't understand the scene in which Roger comes into the room, obviously buzzed, and says to Freddy "Boy that Cal Rutledge from Pond's. What a cut-up. I need to go lay down."
Freddy immediately calls the guy on the phone, saying "You just had lunch with Roger Sterling. Is there anything you would like to share with me ?". He then arranges to meet the guy at a church and immediately leaves. Peggy asks Freddy what's wrong and all he says is "Can't you put two and two together ?" and nothing else.
What was that all about ? I don't think there was ever a follow-up to it. My guess is that the guy was a recovering alcoholic and maybe Freddy was his support....?
