Career Questions for an Audio & Video Technician?

To be straight to the point after 23 years of cluelessness I'm finally narrowing down my plans for college (I work at the University so I might as well get my education at it). Are there any Audio and Video Technicians here on the subreddit that I could ask some questions?
P.S.-Yes I already tried google, but I want to ask someone who is in the job already, y'know, get their' perspective.
