What are some fun things I can do leading up to Christmas to help distract myself from negative self-talk? I can count on one hand how many New Year's Eve parties I stayed awake for until midnight, so I'm not too concerned about NYE. However, I really don't want a repeat of Thanksgiving, being alone in my apartment. I did cook a small version of what my family usually has for the holidays, which helped but not enough.
If there are any other solo people in their mid-30s and older who want to do some holiday activities, inbox me. I'm still really new to the area, so I'm looking for someone who might like to go out for a light dinner around 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve so I can be back in time for my family's holiday Zoom party. Or if there are any activities you wanted to do but didn't want to do alone between now and the new year, let me know.
Before moving to Madison, I was extroverted (until I got overstimulated and needed to recharge), but now I'm a bit of a recluse. The only time I leave my apartment besides for work is my weekly trip to Trader Joe's!
