Do total calories matter if you’re hitting macro goals? Losing weight and gaining muscle

Just out of curiosity, I’m hitting protein and fats goal, carbohydrate is usually about 50g low with a calories count of 1424/1710 Total calories are 2185(total) -741(exercise calories)
Carbohydrates are 307g Protein 123g Fat 82g
Working on building muscle and loosing fat hoping not to lose gains through diet, all advice appreciated
