Help upgrading Mac Pro 5,1 to Catalina

My mac pro 5,1 is currently on high sierra and running ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024 MB for graphics card. I am hoping to upgrade to Catalina however I am aware that the graphics card is not supported by the new Metal architecture that Catalina uses. I would like some advice on what exactly I should do in order to be able to upgrade it. Any graphic card recommendations and certain software I would need to install/set up, etc.
