Upgrade 4.1 Mac Pro or Move to a Macbook Pro.

Howdy Y'all!
I am debating on my next move... I have a 4.1 Mac Pro and I am debating if I should upgrade it and get a macbook air for portability or buy a maxed out 2015 Macbook pro and dock it at home. I mainly use my Mac for photo editing, basic productivity, graphic design and I dabble with 4k in Final Cut Pro. If you were in my shoes what would you do and why?
