I’m thinking of getting the new Mac mini and probably going with the cheapest one. 256gb and 8gb of RAM. Only because it’s the easiest to find.

Im a graphic designer and I’m currently using an iMac that I’ve had for five years and I built a custom PC to handle more intensive animation work in after effects and cinema 4d. I’m hoping to replace my iMac because it’s becoming slower everyday, apps are always freezing and crashing, and my screen has visible image retention around the edges.

I’m wondering if anyone thinks the new Mac mini will be okay for design tasks in illustrator, InDesign , and photoshop while also multitasking Microsoft teams for work and web browsing. And if not what would you suggest.

Any help would be great.
