What is the "best" way to mount my Mac Mini and avoid the wi-fi issues?

Basically the title! I hadn't heard about the common wi-fi issues and it's been very frustrating. I assumed it was my ISP at first but I have a gigabit connection that is great when it works but gets dropped daily by the mac mini, and not the other devices.

I have a small desk set up with a pole mount that holds my monitor, webcam, LED light panel, etc. I originally mounted the Mac Mini vertically (top facing out). After repeated issues I pulled it out of the mount and have it temporarily sitting on my desk, but still I have issues.

Would it be better to have it sit on its edge? Mount it under my desk so the bottom is clear? I've seen people say the antennae is underneath or on the side, feel free to clear that up.

And does the wiring matter? I saw someone mention issues with their HDMI cable but I'm totally unclear on the significance of that.

Eager to get this thing running seamlessly. Thanks!

Edit: For those repeatedly asking "what wifi issues?" here are a few posts of this issue occurring:

Mac mini Wi-Fi really slow all of a sudden but all other devices fine. Fix?
