Ok, I got this MacBook Air 2022 (m2 chip) from a friend for free. The catch is that It has liquid damage. the screen is really fucky. I tried to talk to apple and the warranty, they say won't work for this.

The friend got it from Costco and she gave to me because she isn't tech savy. It didn't cost me a dime. I have a Genus Bar Reservation with apple to see cost. My worry is cost (I am a Broke College Kid). Obviously i know it'll be a price, but I am basing this on my knowlege with Apple. my old laptop, for the same situation costed me $300. I just wanna ask do yall think that it is salvageable or not. And if it is, what can i do? It still has a warranty that ends on Dec 24. 2023. Thank you for listening.
