m1 pro 14' still worth at end of 2022?

Hi guys, I bought a gaming laptop from bestbuy at 1 grand a month ago, but im barely using it for games, i unistalled everything because of boredom
i asked bestbuy, and they said i could return the laptop and get the M1 Pro '14' and pay the extra money
Im wondering if the laptop is still worth the money going into 2023, from reviews ive read its probably the best laptop for the money right now
Can i get your advice lol ( or validation to spend 500 dollars 😅😅)
