Any experiences from people choosing the MBP 15" 2015 over the 2016/2017 model?

Hey!
I'm trying to decide which model to buy and as soon as I seem to narrow down my choice to the 2017 model, somehow, somewhere the 2015 model pops up and reminds me of its existence. Quite a few people here seemed to prefer the 2015 model over the 2016 one, but I've yet to see someone choose it over the 2017 one.
Any experiences here? I'm currently looking at the 7700HQ / 512 GB / Radeon Pro 560 model and was wondering if a MBP 2015 would even be worth considering in this price / spec range.
