I’ve had my MBP mid-2012 for about 8 years now and I’m looking to buy a new one and give the old one to my sister. I was looking into getting the maxed out 16-inch M3 Max. I looked at the price and was thinking that maybe it’s way out of my budget. I don’t necessarily have a set one. But the price is just a little bit high for me. So, I was wondering… any thoughts on what specs of MBP I should get if I need it for the following:

-smooth 4k playback and render -vlogging -heavy usage of Adobe after effects

Not necessarily sure if there’s a fast shift to 8k resolution now, but future proofing would also be good. I figured maxed out specs doesn’t also always necessarily mean best performance. So, just wanted to see what y’all would recommend?
