Bought a refurbished MacBook Pro from backmarket.com a few months ago. It stopped turning on. I contacted the company and they told me to erase my MacBook before returning it for repairs. Since I can’t erase it directly using the MacBook since it won’t turn on I erased the data through iCloud, but I also need to remove the device (MacBook) from my iCloud for them to be able to repair it. The data will erase when it’s connected to the internet according to iCloud. My question is will my MacBook erase if I also remove the device from iCloud or will removing the device cancel out the erase and all my data will still be on the MacBook?
