Any tips to clean the keyboard/mouse (2018 MacBook Pro)

I want to clean the keyboard and trackpad but apparently 2018 and newer MacBooks have a “feature” where they can start up with a press of any key. (and that can’t be turned off) Is there any way I can clean it without unintentionally interacting with the system?
