Used MacBook Buying Advice, good model years?

Post Body

Hey all, I'm looking for a new laptop, my HP Pavilion is crapping out on me after 5 years. Since I wanna do more with music recording, producing my own songs with virtual instruments, and do some video editing, I thought it might be worth getting a Mac. Since it's the industry standard and all and I'm sure there's a reason for it. However I'm on a budget, I can forget about buying a new M1 or M2 MacBook Pro or even a MacBook Air. But I've seen some used listings within my budget of MacBook Pro's from model years 2015 to 2019. I'm wondering if any of these models are still worth it. Since they usually come with an Intel i7 or i9 chip set with 4 or 6 cores, DDR3 or DDR4 RAM, while some of the windows offerings within the same price range come with 10 or even 12 processor cores and DDR5 RAM. I'm not partial to either Windows or Mac, I don't care, as long as it works and works well.
