I've been seeing some geekbench scores floating around, and it seems like the M2 Pro chip with the 19-core GPU is better than the performance of the M1 Max. I'm rather conflicted on the issue because on one hand, I want to get the MacBook pro 14 with the M1 Max used. But the M2 Pro is going for cheaper and I really want to squeeze as much performance out of my dollars. My freelance gig got a bit harder with the addition of Topaz AI to my workflow, so my regular 2020 M1 MacBook pro hasn't been able to keep up with my workflow.
TL;DR
I'm working faster than my current machine can handle, and I need an upgrade. I want to save money.
