So I just bought the M1 Pro MacBook 2 weeks ago and it literally came in yesterday. Today I go on YouTube and all of a sudden Apple released their M2 MacBook Pro (loool what??).
So my question is should I return this M1 Pro and buy the M2 pro MacBook now? I ordered a special configuration for my M1 Pro, 1 TB ssd, 10c/16c cpu/gpu, and 32 gb ram. I will purchase the same exact model for the M2 MacBook, only difference being the chip. Now here’s a strange thing, it looks like this same exact model is cheaper with the M2 pro? I’m in Canada and the M1 Pro that I purchased was $4123 including taxes (yep super expensive). Now the same specs with the upgraded M2 chip is $3802 according to the Apple Store. So a little better battery, plus upgraded HDMI port as well as processor chip, and at the same time CHEAPER than the M1 Pro MacBook (with same specs)? Isn’t this a no brainer?
Lol, what do you guys suggest?
