I recently bought this charger for my MacBook Air.
I wanted one to carry in my laptop bag for when I’m not at home and that would be less bulky than the standard MacBook chargers. I’m quite concerned with the size of accessories I carry in the bag in case they put pressure on the MacBook and crack the screen. I liked the look of this one as it got good reviews, has multiple ports, had folding prongs and I could also carry it as a way to charge multiple other devices either at the same time as the MacBook or on their own. However it turns out that although it is smaller than the standard Apple chargers, it’s bulkier due to the wide plug base at the end. If the three prong plug section was removable and could lay flat in the bag it would be ideal but as it is it seems less likely to cause damage to just carry the standard Apple charger that came with the MacBook as it’s thinner and you can at least remove the duck plug and point the prongs away from the laptop.
Can anyone point me towards a multi port charger that’s thin and preferably with a uk plug with foldable prongs that can be removed from the actual charger body so as to keep everything as thin and as flat as possible?
Alternatively are there any removable duck plugs with folding prongs (I haven’t been able to find any) or am I going to have to find a bigger laptop bag with more room for accessories or carry a separate bag for the accessories?
Thanks in advance for any info.
