Hello all! I’m pretty damn old when it comes to knowing anything about technology. Not as bad as your grandma, but also not as good as you. So I turn to the experts. My son will be entering college in the fall and I feel like a fitting Christmas gift will be a MacBook. That’s the easy part; the harder part is figuring out what he’ll need. I believe a MacBook Air will suit him fine, as his prospective majors (business & anthropology) aren’t anything that would require a Pro. Are there any other reasons I should consider the Pro that I’m not aware of? Also, I do not know if he’d need additional memory and storage than what the base offers….can anyone who has used a MacBook for college tell me if the standard specs are adequate or would one need to upgrade?
