Hi! I lost my MacBook at the Hawaii airport & instantly locked it. I found it, went to get the PIN to unlock it and it never showed one. I tried so many times. I called Apple Support & 2hrs into the phone call she had me remove device from my iCloud. I asked if that means I will be locked out forever? She said no, it’ll reset it and it’ll work again. I reluctantly do. Boom, forever locked. She tells me “oh you’ll have to find your receipt from Best Buy” (who keeps track from 4yr wedding present?) and that’s it. I’ve tried non stop since 2022 with no avail. This is the screen I see 24/7. I have the serial number and everything tied to my account when I go to my Apple ID in settings but not on find my and they won’t help me.
