Battery health damage from USB-C monitor?
Post Body

Hi, I am currently thinking about buying an USB-C monitor from LG (LG 27UL850-W), as COVID will basically extend the WFH routine.

I have a 16” Pro and I usually just keep it on my desk plugged all the time with a couple discharges per month, but I never seem to make the macOS charging management thing kick in, no idea about how that works.

Seeing that I can’t make macOS recognize my usage patterns and cap my battery at something like 80%, should I experience accelerated degradation for my battery with an USB-C monitor?

Current battery state after 12 months: - 189 cycles - 91.7-94%(8080-8350 mAh)full charge capacity with the battery health option checked.
