Apple scratched my Macbook during its keyboard replacement.

Post Body

Im sorry if this seems ridiculous to worry about, but apple seemed to have left a few dings on the top case of my Mac when they did the keyboard replacement for me.

I first went to the apple store because my MacBook Pro 15" 2019 was experiencing the sticky keys issue. I booked an appointment and when I went to the store the genius apologized for the inconvenience the faulty keyboard had caused me. He said my computer would be eligible for the free keyboard replacement program, where they replace the entire top case of the computer. This included the keyboard, battery, etc. I agreed to the repair but he mentioned that it would take 3-5 days since the machine needed to be shipped out for them to repair it. I needed a computer in the meantime, so I asked if they could loan me a computer. They said they only do it for business users. Okay no problem. I dropped my computer off and went about my day.

After 3 days, I get a voicemail and email saying my computer was ready for pickup. Excited as I could be, I went to the apple store and my computer was all cleaned up and ready. They had cleaned the screen (before it looked dusty and had some smudges) so everything looked brand new. I tested the keys and they all worked well. I looked around the computer for any damage that may have happened (things happen I understand) and I noticed a couple scratches and a dent on the right side of the computer. This was specifically above the seam thats between the bottom plate, and where the top case begins. I asked them if they replaced the top case with a used or refurbished one, and the genius said, no the parts we use are brand new. Okay whatever I thought, I didn't want to make this a big deal since it doesn't hinder the ability for me to use the computer. I went home.

Days later, I notice that I keep looking at the damage and idk it makes me feel sad knowing that they probably put a top case that someone else used on my Mac. Since I find myself wasting time looking at this damage, I decided to schedule an appointment with them later this week. I just hope they do something about it, instead of blaming the scratches and stuff on me.
