Over the last years weโve seen Apple use T series chips, basically A series processors with a different task, to ease the workload of the Intel CPU.
Seeing that Apple managed to make an x86 CPU work with an ARM processor, I am thinking that for the Pro users that depend on ECC memory, the powerful GPUs and other truly Pro workflows, Apple could still launch Intel based Macs, but they might have a new T chip that will basically be the Apple CPU for something like the 12โ MacBook/iPad Pro A12Z equivalent, that will require no fan and little power.
This idea might work perfectly for a MacBook Pro 16โ, that could switch to the ARM when browsing the web, but go back to the Intel CPU when that is required, imagine the battery life you could get if the Intel CPU is kept at a very low usage when the ARM can do the task in a more efficient way.
Let me know what you think about my idea and letโs hear yours too!
