There Has to be a workaround to use my 2014 retina iMac as a display for my 16” MacBook Pro.
Post Body

Is there any way to use a Late 2014 5K Retina iMac as a (wired, no lag) display for a new 16” MacBook Pro? I know Target Display Mode has been phased out, is there any workaround. Screen Sharing, TeamViewer, and Luna are simply too laggy. The iMac has 2 Thunderbolt 2 ports and the MacBook Pro has 4 Thunderbolt 3 ports. I’ve done quite a bit of research and this is truly a Hardy Boys mystery.
