Questions about upgrading my MBP Retina mid 2012
Post Body

So currently my MacBook has been a trusty partner for me for the past 6 years, and I’m hoping to keep that going. However, just recently my Windows partition stopped booting, so am thinking of either buying a side windows laptop or upgrading this MacBook further (need the Windows for work).

My current MacBook has an SSD, but only 250 gb and 8gb RAM. The processor is a quad core so no issues there. But seeing as how I need more memory, I’m looking to change the SSD to 1 TB, upgrading RAM to 16, and maybe upgrading my graphics card. Is this possible? How difficult is it to do on my own, and could you make recommendations for parts with good reputations for those pieces (Samsung etc). Is there anything else I could/should upgrade?

I’ve seen mentions of a HD cable messing things up, is this something I should worry about?
