It's been awhile since I've run Windows on my Mac Pro, and my setup has a few caveats. I'm looking for advice on the best method to do this while keeping these things in mind: 1. I'm running OS X 10.11 in RAID, and need to install Windows on a separate drive. 2. The Mid-2012 Mac Pro isn't directly supported by Boot Camp 6 drivers (it looks like there are ways around this by editing the registry).
I've had success previously with Windows 8.1 on its own drive running some revision of Boot Camp 5, but that was a couple of years ago. I used a guide online that basically had you write the Windows installer to the disk directly using VMWare Fusion and its raw disk creator functionality in terminal. This may still be the best method, but I thought I'd check.
I have searched through some of the guides on here, but most of them don't necessarily pertain to my setup because I'm looking to install Windows to a drive that doesn't contain OS X. Some of them may still work, but it didn't seem clear to me. Any help is greatly appreciated!
