How do you back up your Mac?

They're not even the same thing though. The main difference between backup and sync is that backup creates a copy of a file to protect it, while sync updates files across multiple devices so they are always in sync. One protects your file by making a copy, then other doesn't. They should not be used interchangeably as they are different. Apple states in all of its iCloud documentation that iCloud is not meant tom be used as a backup solution, it's why iCloud and Time Machine both exist.

What country is that that calls Blu-Rays "cassettes"?

I'm confused. How are people using iCloud for backup? I know about iOS backups, but with the Mac iCloud is simply a sync service. Am I missing something?
