I think Im going to do something different this time. Ask you guys for advice on what I should get. Im one of those, always need the best of the best kinda person but trying to save some cash this time round and I know I don't need the absolute best money can buy. Im fairly knowledgeable on anything computers but, yeah, I think this is for you guys to slap me around and push me to get what I need not what I want! LOL
So Ill be needing a solid unit for the following activities:
Writing: I am a published author and need something great to continue my craft
Entry level photo editing: Mainly a small hobby. I have no clue what Im doing all I know is I want to learn slowly
Entry Level video Editing: Same as above. No clue what Im doing but I dab in it from time to time.
Music. Duh
Ocassional Web Surfing, and TV Streaming.
One thing I can't stand in a device is slow hardware. I notice the small sluggish operations of some older units. It bugs me. I want it to be able to support the latest MacOS
I do have an iPhone so love the ecosystem (need to get another iPad)
Now honestly I would prefer an iMac simply because it has a great screen and all but idk. Think a Mini will work? Portability would be nice but not neccicary. If I don't get an iMac and get a Mini or Macbook I would need a screen and possibly docking station so I got to factor that cost in as well.
Thoughts?
Walmart has a M1 Macbook Air for $600 my price, just worried on cost of good screen docking station and the performance of an Air and low ram. hmmmmm
