  • The new Mac Pro uses the same design as the previous 2019 model, but it adds more connectivity with 8 Thunderbolt 4 ports and 2 HDMI ports
  • Mac Pro with Apple Silicon features 6 internal PCIe 4.0 slots for expansion, and SATA ports are still present
  • Dual 10Gb Ethernet is standard, and Mac Pro also includes Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax)
  • Tower and rack models are available, and wheels for the tower model are also still available
  • Mac Pro with Apple Silicon starts at $6,999.00 (tower) and $7,499.00 (rack)

15" MacBook Air

  • The long awaited 15" MacBook Air is now here, featuring the M2 chip
  • 15.3" LED-backlit display with a resolution of 2880x1864
  • P3 color support, True Tone support, 500 nits brightness
  • Up to 18 hours of Apple TV app movie playback on a single charge with a 66.5 Wh battery
  • Fast charging is supported with a 70W USB-C power adapter
  • M2 chip with 8 CPU cores, 10 GPU cores, and up to 24GB of memory

macOS Sonoma

  • macOS Sonoma features slow-motion screen savers that become your desktop wallpaper when you log in
  • Widgets are now supported on the desktop, and you can add iPhone widgets with Continuity
  • Video conferencing features are enhanced, and Presenter Overlay lets you move in front of the content you're presenting
  • Safari now supports separate profiles, allowing you to keep things grouped together, like work and personal
  • Web apps in Safari allows you to add a website to your dock and interact with it like a regular app, and Private Browsing now locks your browsing windows when you aren't using them
  • Messages includes features like search filters, catch-up, and location sharing
  • Gaming on Mac is even better with Game Mode, which automatically gives your games priority for the CPU and GPU, and it also reduces latency with wireless accessories, like AirPods and Bluetooth controllers
  • macOS Sonoma has dropped a few Mac models from support, including the 2017 MacBook Pro, 2017 12" MacBook, and all 2017 iMacs (except for iMac Pro)
  • Macs that support macOS Sonoma include the following: iMac (2019 and later), iMac Pro, MacBook Air (2018 and later), MacBook Pro (2018 and later), Mac Pro (2019 and later), Mac Studio (2022 and later), and Mac mini (2018 and later)
  • A developer beta of macOS Sonoma is now available, and a public beta will follow in July

Apple also announced a new headset called Apple Vision Pro with a starting price of $3,499. Check out r/VisionPro for more discussion about this.
