Post Body

My MacBook Pro (2016) was water damaged because of a pipe bursting in my apartment. I took it into a chain computer repair shop to have them look at it and see if it was repairable, have them dehydrate it all that good stuff. They basically lied to me and told me that the computer was unrepairable and the data wasn’t recoverable. They also told me they had to remove the battery because of swelling, tried to scam me out of several hundred to retrieve the data… long story short if I plug my computer into the wall it’s fine, all my files are intact and it operates just like normal. My question is can I just replace the battery they removed and it be back to normal?
